Stockpiling

Let me start off by saying that a stockpile is a surplus of something.

The goal to building a stockpile is to buy something when it is dirt cheap, and stock up enough so that you won't need to buy it again until it goes on sale. So if an item goes on sale every 3 months and you know that, you only need to buy enough to get you thru to the next sale. Or sometimes you can pair this great sale with a coupon, you can get it sometimes free and really stock up.

The way you build a stockpile is to start small with 1 or 2 items at a time. Stockpiles aren't built overnight, they take time. They do require room and can fill up small spaces quick. Once you start building your stockpile, you will get a feeling of accomplishment and begin to want to make it bigger. Keep in mind some products don't go on sale alot. Some sales are every 6-12 months. If your family goes thru alot of these items,  your gonna need a good amount of room to properly house these products.

The benefits of a stockpile are great. You never have to worry about not making it to the market, or fogetting to get something.  If life happens your always prepared. If a job is lost or money just gets tigh,t you know  that there will always be food on the table. The goods are like money in the bank and it grows with intrest over time.

Find one really cheap item you or your family likes and go get 2 or 3 more than you normally would. In the extra time you have the item, see if it goes on sale and if its a good sale or an ok sale. Is it worth stocking up on this item? This was how my stockpile was formed and I wouldn't live any other way.
